Life Insurance Case Manager

The Larry Gordon Agency (LGA), an Insurance Brokerage General Agency, has an immediate opening for a self-driven, detail-oriented individual looking for a career opportunity in the insurance industry. Seeking the right candidate to join our New Business Case Management Team servicing financial advisors/brokers across the country. This position will support our Sales Team and will be the primary contact during the underwriting process. This role requires frequent engagement, communication, and coordination with brokers, insurance carriers and the LGA Sales team. In this role, the Case Manager provides complete back-office support, sets and manages expectations, and provides a superior customer service experience throughout the new business and underwriting process.

Specific Duties

  • Review and process new business applications confirming accuracy, organization and completion and when necessary, requesting additional information from the agent/broker
  • Submit new business applications to the insurance carriers and stay abreast of various decision timetables, following-up as appropriate
  • Maintain tracker and status of pending business in underwriting
  • Advocate and negotiate with life insurance carriers on informal and formal offers
  • Set proper expectations with agents and sales team regarding pending business, requirements and timelines
  • Respond to producer questions regarding status of applications
  • Relationship manager with a focus on providing service and support that retains and nurtures client relationships, strengthens LGA’s brand as a trusted resource to agents and helps the sales staff in achieving the same goals

  • The ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment with several competing priorities
  • Ability to take the initiative and ownership in case management from start to finish
  • 2-3 years experience working in an office environment with Customer Service focus
  • Microsoft suite of products including Outlook
